Materials and Tools

22lbs of clay and tools are provided.  Please bring your own handtowel and notebook.

All of the studio equipment, tools and glazes are available to all class levels. Firing costs are included in the class price. Each student can use up to 11kg of clay without additional charges, if more clay is required (usually it isn't) then a second bag of clay can be purchased. There is no additional cost for firing the second bag of clay.

If a third bag of clay is required there are extra fees and I will encourage you to make better pots over more pots.

Please note, studio clay is to be used in the studio during classes, if you wish to work at home, extra clay can be purchased.

If a fourth bag of clay is required, we recommend that you consider setting up your own studio. The focus of the classes is to learn and improve your skills, not to become a production potter.

A typical student will produce twelve to fifteen pieces of pottery (which make great gifts!).
